I am a Marriage and Family Therapist licensed in California. I grew up in the Bay Area and know how busy life can be. Coming and going, trying to keep up with everyone else, and at the same time thinking you are not good enough. Feeling stressed all the time. Even though there are so many people around, you feel lonely, like you are the only one going through this situation. I am here to tell you that, you are not!
I got into this field for a variety of reasons. I guess you can say that I have always been curious about the lives of others and I genuinely wanted to help people. Over the years my reasons for doing this work have changed as I have evolved as a person my passion for helping others has deepened.
I graduated from Sonoma State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology from Notre Dame de Namur University. I have many years of experience having been gained in a variety of diverse settings such as a college campus, high schools, outpatient drug treatment programs, outpatient counseling clinic, and criminal justice settings. I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults.
Today I can tell you that I am in this field to assist you in quieting that inner voice that continues to create the stress, anxiety, depression, self-defeating thoughts and/or loneliness.
I enjoy working with women who are motivated to reach their full potential and speak their truth. I have a passion for supporting women of color in tech, who often face unique challenges such as microaggressions, racial trauma, fear of failure, relationship issues, lack of boundaries, neglect of self-care, and low self-worth. The impact of emotional or physical abandonment by a father holds a special place in my heart due to my own journey with my father. I understand how these experiences can profoundly shape one's self-perception and life choices.
By addressing these issues, I aim to empower women to navigate their careers and personal lives with confidence and resilience, fostering a deeper sense of self-worth and well-being. If you resonate with these struggles, I would be honored to support you on your path to healing and growth.
If you are ready to walk this journey with a therapist who knows what you are going through, please connect with me at (510) 250 - 3091.
